Mallzee - Making Shopping Social!

Hey Lovelies,
I can not believe it has been over since 2 weeks since my last blog post, I havent had any internet connection  and now feel so out of the loop. I know that it is not that long but it seems ages, why is it a week without internet can feel like a month (or is that just me?)
I often wounder how I use to get on when I was younger and had no internet, hmm what did my 13 year old self do?
Anyway enough rambling on,

I was contacted by a new company called Mallzee about an exclusive  pre-launch invite to their website and as I thought it was so good I had to do a blog post on it.
What Mallzee says
'Mallzee is like going to the perfect mall, hanging out with friends, having a personal shopper and getting the best deals on everything'
"Mallzee is all about creating a new experience for shopping online. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores. Our fancy software then finds products matching their personal style and showcases them in their Mallzee! There are a number of aspects that make Mallzee social from the integration of Facebook chat to creating polls and browsing friends online wardrobes. An added bonus to inviting friends to your mallzee is that as the ‘owner’ you earn money every time anyone buys from your Mallzee, including you! (That's right you get paid when you shop?)"

Now first things first getting paid to shop! Now we are talking that is right up my street and I am sure that excites a lot of you too. They already have over 200 brands signed up including Urban Outfitters and New Look.
I love the fact that I wont have to look around loads of different online shops to find an outfit it will all be in one place - Perfect :)
The thing that I am probably looking forward to the most is the fact that you can make polls if you can't decide between items and see what people think because I can never make decisions and I am that annoying friend that rings everyone up saying help I can't decide between the black or white, so this is just what I need.
Mallzee will be going live later this year and I am so excited, I can not wait.
I really recommend signing up and for an added bonus if you share it on Facebook you will be entered in to a prize draw where you could win £100 ($155) worth of shopping vouchers! Happy days :)

You can find out more and sign up with an exclusive pre launch invite here

Do you think this is a good idea? Will you be signing up?

NOTD: Topshop - Mermaid

Alright girlies,
For my post today I have a nail polish that I wore last week(I know bad blogging) it is Topshop Nail Polish in Mermaid(£6.00). When you look at the bottle it looks like it is a duochrome but it is not, it is a gorgeous colour though. It's a multi toned metallic silver blue with green undertones with fine gold shimmer. The name is actually perfect as it looks like a mermaids tail :)

The formulation is thin so a few coats are needed. I have on 3 coats, with no top or bottom coat. It lasted on my nails for 5 days before it started chipping. I was so amazed as usually even with a top coat I am lucky if my polish lasts for a whole day.
The one bad things is as with most metallic polishes you can see brush marks so you do have to be careful.

I definitely recommend this colour and really want to try more Topshop polishes.

Have you tried any Topshop polishes? What is your favourite colours?

On The Go Makeup Bag

Hey lovelies
I thought I would do a blog post on what is in my on the go makeup bag that goes around with me for touch ups. I try not to carry to much but having oily skin my makeup tends to melt off after a few hours.
Then, whatever blush and lip combo I am wearing, today it is:

What is in your on the go makeup bag?

Wicked Wicked Jungle Is Massive

Gosh I am showing my age with that song I know I am not that old but this song makes me feel old especially when my younger cousins said they didn't have a clue what it was, what jungle music was and have never even seen the Ali G movie =/

Ok so without even realising it my whole outfit is from New Look, I really need to start shopping at other places =]

*I really need to learn how to take pictures without cutting off my head or get someone else to take pictures for me*

How much is my face worth tag!

I have seen this tag doing the rounds on blogs and thought I would give it a go as it seems fun. My make up changes everyday but like most people I have a I set routine I do if I am in a rush or I don't want to think about it. I thought I would do my routine for the days and for the evening as I thought it would be interesting to see the difference as I use more higher end products when I go out on the night. I am kind scared to see how much I spend on my everyday face and how many products I use
Day
Bourjouis Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99
Lacura Concealer Pen £3.59
Mac Studio Finish Concealer £14.50
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder £7.19
Sleek Contour Kit £6.49
Elf Blush - Peechy Keen £3.75
Elf Eyebrow Kit £3.75
Mac Paint Pot - Bare Study £14.50
Mac Eyeshadow - Satin Taupe £12.00
Mac Eyeshadow - Twinks £12.00
Mac Eyeshadow - Vanilla £12.00
Mac eyeshadow - Carbon £12.00
YSL Faux Cils Mascara £23.00
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Pink In The Afternoon £7.49
Barry M Lip Gloss - Toffee £4.49
TOTAL = 146.74

Evening

Benefit Porefessional  £2.00 sample
17 Photo Flawless Primer £4.99
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua £32.00
Lacura Concealer Pen £3.59
Mac Studio Finish Concealer £14.50
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder £7.19
Sleek Contour Kit £6.49
Mac Bronzer - Refined Golden - £19.00
Maybelline Dream Touch Blush - Peach £6.49
Mac Blush - Well Dressed £17.50
Elf Eyebrow Kit £3.75
Urban Decay Primer Potion £14.50
Urban Decay Naked Palette £36.00
Loreal Super Liner - Carbon Gloss £6.49
YASL Faux Cils Mascara £23.00
Ardell Lashes - Demi Wispies £5.49
Look Beauty Lipstick - Toffee Cup £7.00
Barry M Lip Gloss -  £4.49
TOTAL = £214.47

Well there you have it I am quite shocked, it is so much money and that is without brushes, glad I never added my YSL lipsticks that I usually use. I did expect the evening makeup to be more as I use higher end makeup but I do feel a little disgusted in my self that I spend so much money on just my basics. Think I am going to have to cut down. I seem to use to many products on my face it really is good for my skin or the purse.
Anyway that was a fun to do and very interesting.

Have you done this tag? if so leave a link below I would love to see it and how it compares.

Boohoo £50 Blogger Challange

As I am sure most of you are aware of the boohoo £50 blogger challenge that is going on at the moment, If not I will quickly explain.
www.fashionvouchers.com are holding a competition for all bloggers to celebrate boohoo.com making the Top 10 Fashion Money Saving Websites. All you have to do is create an outfit for under £50. It was so much fun and amazing how much you could get for £50

Boohoo £50 challange
Christy High Shine High Waisted Disco Pants Was £15.00 Now £10.00
Riley Lace Back Georgette Shirt Was £18.00 Now £11.00
Xanthe Black Suedette Peeptoe Wedge Was £25.00 Now £18.00
Harper Spiked Bracelet £8.00
TOTAL = £47

This is what I put together. It is perfect for a night out or you could even change the wedges for a pair of boots/creepers and wear it in the day. I am obsessed with disco pants at the moment and these are amazing dupes for the expensive American apparel version. I love the look of a top tucked in to them but for us curvy girls it not always the most flattering so I decided to pair it with a long dip hem chiffon top. I chose the black wedges because you can never go wrong with a pair of black wedges and much prefer the look of wedges with disco pants than heels. I wanted to edge it up a little and when I saw this spike bracelet I just had to add it to the outfit. Spikes and studs are everywhere and bang on trend for autumn so it was perfect for the outfit.

Have you taken up the challange?

Fat Fashion Friday - OOTN

For this weeks Fat Fashion Friday I have the outfit that I wore out last Saturday night.

Please ignore the mess you can see in the mirror. I am honestly not that messy usually I am very anal about keeping my room clean but there were three other girls getting ready in my room and we were over an hour late so you can just imagine how we were, clothes getting thrown everywhere, all of us fighting for the mirror, utter chaos  Lol (so much fun tidying it the next day hungover =/). Sorry about the fact that my head is cut off and you cannot see my hair and make up I just couldn't get the camera angle correct and everyone was moaning at me to get my bum down the stairs as the taxi had arrived. I was planning to take more picture when I got back but wasn't exactly looking the best when I got back at 6.30...
Bag - Primark £8.00
Necklace - Primark £6.00
On my way I also decided to add this belt

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Style Watch - Bralet

As I am sure you are all aware the bralet is a big staple for the summer time and all the celebs are wearing them. I know the bralet looks scary to some of us girls that don't have rock hard flat stomachs but these tops are so versatile they can be worn day or night with just about anything (well except maybe a mini skirt or shorts, except if your going the beech or just going for the slutty look). They can be dressed up or down, sexy or edgy. And if you don't want to show your stomach, you can easily pull out your high wasted jeans or a wear it with a blazer done up so the bralet is just peeking out (Which will definitely be the way I will be wearing it as no one wants to see my belly hanging out!) Almost every shop is stocking a bralet so you are bound to find one you like. There are so many different styles, patterns, colours and prices for everyone. Here are a few of my favourite bralets:
Bralet

As I have been a little obsessed I decided to put together a day and night outfit:

Day
OOTD

Night
ootd2

How would you wear a Bralet?

NOTD - Essie Fiji

Hey guys long time no blog!
I haven't been able to blog for a while as my brother decided to drop the laptop on the floor and smashed the screen so I only have my mums computer to use when I go to hers. So will have to bare with me for a while.
The other day I went in to Boots and saw the Essie stand had finally come to my local shop and I just couldn't resists and picked up a few
I have on Fiji which is a creamy opaque pale pink.It is opaque in two coats but can be a bit streaky so I put on three coats.
Oh wow I didn't realise how bad my cuticles were until I saw this picture, think they need a little TLC!

I really like the formulation of Essie. I wasn't sure whether I should get any at first as they are £8 but in my opinion they are totally worth it and I am already eyeing up my next polish

Have you tried any of the Essie polishes? What are your favourite shades?

Not So Cool!

So I was just packing my makeup to take with me to pride when I noticed how many cool toned pink lipsticks I have. With pink being my favourite colour it is not hard to see why i have so many. The blue toned bubblegum pink look so gorgeous in the tube and so wearable but the problem is they look horrible on my warm skin toned. Everytime i go to the shop and see one I cannot resist and pick it up just hoping that it will look good even though in the back of my mind I know it will look awful.I have wasted so much money on these with lipsticks from YSL to natural collection but looking in my collection today I think it is time to say enough is enough and realise as much I hate it that they do not and will not ever suit you and too just stop wasting my money.

Is there anything that doesn't suit you but still cant resists?

May favoutites

Hey lovelies
Can't believe it is June already I feel like I say this all the time but the days are just flying by. It is so scary to think I will be 22 in like a month argh,
I am sure by now you all know that a new month means monthly favourites. I do love these posts but it is bad for me to read them because my wishlist gets bigger and bigger every month hehe :)
Here are my favourites for this month:

Bourjous Healthy Mix ~ I brought this foundation a while back but just didn't use it because I was using my Chanel foundation but I decided to try it and I love it. It is similar to my Chanel vitalumiere aqua. It has medium coverage, doesn't look cakey and leaves a glowy look to the skin. I have been using healthy mix as my everyday foundation all month.

Mac paint pot bare study ~ I have been on a job seekers course this past month so I have not had any time in the morning to put much makeup on. So instead  I have just been putting bare study all over with a bit of eyeliner and mascara. I have to wear a primer undernearth otherwise it creases after a few hours as I have oily eyelids.

Lacura(Aldi) Concealer Pen ~ (I am a bit messy and as you can see it has been well loved so just ignore the state of the packaging) I have heard really good things about this and how it compares to the YSL Touche Eclat so when I went in to aldi and saw it was £3.59 I thought why not. Now I haven't used the Touche Eclat so I cannot compare them but i do love this. it covers my dark circles but to be fair I don't really have bad under eye circles (probably the only skin problem I don't suffer from) and it doesn't crease either which is always good!

Barry M Touch Of Magic Lipstick ~ I love this lipstick, it comes out as a bright pink on me. It lasts all day even with eating and drinking. The only down side is it can get patchy when it starts to fade which is never a nice look so throughout the day I have to just check how it is looking.

Babyliss Glamour Waves ~ I have been styling my hair using this curling tong all month to give my hair volume and big soft curls and it works brilliant. The curls are not to tight but still give you a lovely curl.

Music

What are your May favourites?

I am off to Birmingham Pride this weekend so as long as I don't have too many cocktails I will hopefully be able to do some outfit posts. There are always such amazing and shall we say interesting outfit chooses over pride so I will try and get plenty of pics!

Weight Watchers!

Hiya bet you thought you got rid of me for the day :)

If you have been reading my blog then you know that I found out I had PCOS and that i needed to loose some weight to help with the symptoms.
Well I decided I would try weight watchers as my mom and sister are on it. I have tried many diets over the years but nothing seemed to work until I did weight watchers about a year ago. I managed to lose around 3 stone but just put the weight back on so I am going to give it another go. I liked the diet because you don't just end up eating rabbit food the whole time. If you don't know what weight watchers is basically all foods have pro points and you have a certain amount of daily points so you can eat what you like when you like until you reach your daily total. You also get weekly points so that you can still have treats and ALCOHOL :)

I decided to keep me on track I would do a little update on how it is going and how I am feeling once a month.
It is day 1 of the diet and I am actually excited to start for once.
I haven't set my self a goal or anything yet I was going to wait and see how it goes and how much I lose the first couple of weeks so I don't end up setting a stupid and unrealistic goal!

Vans!!!

Hi there beauts :)
hope you all had a good weekend!

Years ago my brother and sister have both been wearing vans and I just have never really liked the look of them. Maybe it was because I was still going through my chav stage and would much rather have worn these...

ohh my goshhh some of the things I wore *cringe*

Anyways whilst I was trying to decided which pair of Toms I wanted I came across some really cute ones, think I am going ask for some for my birthday just cant decided which ones to get!

If you have seen any cute Vans I would love it if you could leave me the link :)

NOTD - Dupe It!

I was in boots the other day and saw the Models Own collection Hed Kandi. All the colours are gorgeous but when I saw there was a glitter polish and the name of it was Ibiza Mix I knew that was the polish I had to get :)

I have been a little extremely obsessed with glitter polishes at the moment and have been lusting over Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday for a while now, but couldn't bring myself to buy it for £16 and I am so glad I didn’t as Ibiza mix is basically a dupe and for only £5.

The polish is a clear base with different colour and size glitter.

I have on 3 coats.

*Sorry that the picture quality isn't great

Also I have heard if you layer it over 17 nail polish fairy cake its becomes a dupe for Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop which is also a polish that I have wanted for a while so I will definitely be trying that out soon :)

You can pick up Models Own nail polish from Boots

What glitter polishes are you loving at the moment?

April Favourites

So it is time for my April favourites i know it is a bit late but never mind better late than never. So here are my favourites this month:

Soap And Glory Hand Food ~ I have such dry hands and I have been trying out loads of hand creams and this one is defiantly my favourite. it has helped with the dry skin, made my hands lovely and smooth, smells gorgeous and doesn't leave a greasy residue.

Collection 2000 Smokey Eyes Palette ~ I have been using this when I have been going out in the evening. You get 2 light shades, 3 medium shades, 3 dark shades and a cream shadow for brightening your inner corner. There is a lovely selection of mattes, shimmery and glittery shades so there is something for everyone. The colours are really pigmented and easy to blend and all for only £4.19 you can't really go wrong.

Mua Heaven And Earth Palette ~ I have heard so many reviews talking about this palette and I love the mua single shades so in the end i just couldn't resit getting it any more and I am so glad I did. There are 12 neutral shades and they are all pigmented and easy to blend and so worth the £4.00 price tag. I wont go to in to it as there are loads of reviews out there which will be more in depth.

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades - Blushalicious ~ This is such a gorgeous pinky blush, it has for shades which you can use individually or swirled all together. I have heard that it is a close dupe to Nars Deep Throat but I don't know as I haven't got it to swatch it. You can get it for £4.19 at Boots.

Now for my non beauty favourites:

TV ~ Once Upon A Time

Film ~ Attack The Block

Music ~ Fun Janelle Monae - We Are Young

If you would like me to do a full review of any of the products just let me know in the comments and I would be happy to do it.

What are your favourites this month?
